On-Site Lab Services
HD Pediatrics operates its own laboratory within the practice so that we can analyze your child’s symptoms and begin treatment as quickly as possible. Our health professionals will collect blood and other specimens and walk them to our lab for analysis. A report will be available for diagnosis as soon as the process is complete. Our patients won’t need to schedule another appointment with an outside lab or wait days for results.
Our lab equipment, which includes an immunoassay machine, a chemistry analyzer and a hematology analyzer, allows us to find infections and indications of illness in blood, urine and other cultures. We have the machines tested regularly to ensure accuracy and reliability.
With lab services in our offices, we produce test results to help us diagnose illness faster, sometimes when you and your child are still in the office. That cuts down on extra visits to the doctor, an outside lab, or the pharmacy. With faster test results, we can also begin treatment faster when we find something that is making your child sick.
Our commitment to you includes service that is fast and efficient so that your child feels better and you spend less time at the doctor’s office.
